Surplus Vehicle Sale of a 2004 Ford F550 diesel 4x4 type 6 apparatus

May 14, 2026, MISSOULA RURAL FIRE DISTRICT – VEHICLE SURPLUS SALE, BOARD OF TRUSTEES RESOLUTION #:2026-3. Missoula Rural Fire District is accepting sealed auction bids to purchase a surplus Type 6 wildland fire apparatus. Photos are available at mrfdfire.org/type6. The surplus vehicle will be available for viewing by appointment at 6550 Hwy 10 West until 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 4th, 2026. The surplus vehicle is a 2004 Ford F550 diesel 4x4 type 6 apparatus, approx. 67k miles.

Bids Must be received by 5:00pm Mountain Standard Time, June 4th, 2026, in order to qualify. The minimum bid is $27,000.

This surplus vehicle will be sold in "as is" condition with no warranty expressed or implied by the Fire District. Bids will be opened at 5:01 PM on Thursday, June 4th, 2026, and the successful bidder will be contacted at the end of the sale day. Winning bidder will be responsible for pickup of the vehicle.
