Missoula Rural Fire District has one Training Officer who works with a cadre of Career and Volunteer Firefighters to provide ongoing instruction in Fire, Emergency Medical Service (EMS), Hazardous Materials Management (HazMat), and Vehicle Extrication. Rope, Confined Space, Trench, and Water Rescue training is also part of the MRFD Training Program.
TRAINING
PROGRAM
Thursday evenings from 1900-2200 hours
(7 to 11 pm) are generally the most active training nights at Station #1. Usually, we have 20 to 30 firefighters involved. In the outlying stations, training is covered on a daily basis; all firefighters rely on training material available through MRFD's Intranet. Information includes Drills, Evolutions, and Training Rosters.
