The Missoula Rural Fire District
has a big job to do when it comes to providing fire and life safety services to the residents of its Missoula County jurisdiction.
In addition to providing fire prevention and public education to a variety of audiences, including school children, we also participate in community development activities, such as locating the best spot for water hydrants or ensuring buildings have the proper emergency systems in place. We are also responsible for:
- Code enforcement and citizen inquiry
- Subdivision platte and building plan review
- Certificate of occupancy permitting
- Fire inspection and investigation
- Fire pre-planning and incident reporting
- Arson education for juveniles
