•MATCH SAFETY - Offered to first graders each April-May. Fifteen-minute program with slide show to teach the (5) Match Safety Rules. Features Smokey Bear.
•FIREFIGHTER FRANK - Offered each fall to kindergartners. Twenty-minute puppet show covers fire drills in the home, "stop, drop and roll" and how to "stay low in smoke." Also features Smokey Bear and Sparkey the Fire Dog mascots.

Missoula Rural firefighters and their
volunteers regularly help educate children about the importance of fire prevention and fire safety. This page offers an overview of two school programs provided by local firefighters through the Missoula County Fire Protection as well as several websites focused on Kids Fire Safety.
